Who does Inside the Dream serve?

We are here to serve students with economic difficulties. We will accept referrals from schools, family members, caseworkers or self-referrals. All information is confidential. Each student will be allowed to receive a single dress/suit and related accessories. The items remain theirs to keep.

What can I donate?

Inside the Dream accepts donations of new or gently used formal dresses, tuxes, suits, shoes, purses, jewelry and unopened cosmetics and hosiery. For a full list, please check our donations page.

Can I make a cash donation and how will it be used?

Financial donations are welcome! Inside the Dream is run by volunteers and relies heavily on donations in order to continue operating. Areas where we spend financial donations include:

  • Administrative supplies
  • Storage supplies: dress racks, shopping bags, hangers, etc.
  • Dry cleaning
  • Mailing supplies
  • Supplies for our annual Boutique Day
  • Webpage expenses
  • Special sizes in gowns/suits that we don't receive as donations
  • Moving trucks
  • Convention Centre rental
  • Change room rentals

How can we become a corporate sponsor?

You can become a corporate sponsor by contacting us directly and letting us know how you would like to help.

Corporations or private businesses can assist us with:

  • Services from seamstresses, make up artists, and hairstylists.
  • Gift certificates from restaurants, limousine transportation, retail stores, cosmetic companies, florists, etc.
  • Inside the Dream Angel: adopt a student and take responsibility of all graduation expenses.
  • Donate proceeds from Friday dress down day or other one time or regular fundraising events.
